The Florida Department of Transportation in partnership with
Polk City, held a public information meeting on Thursday, August 24, 2023 which gave residents the opportunity to learn more about the Polk City Vision Plan that is working to identify the needs and opportunities for the area and design enhancements that will improve the safety, mobility, and functionality for all users. 

For those who could not attend the public meeting, the comment period will remain open until Thursday, September 7, 2023. Meeting documents have been posted to the webpage and some meeting materials have been placed at city hall located at 123 Broadway Boulevard SE, Polk City, FL 33868. Please use the comment form below to have your comments become part of the public record.

Public Meeting Materials

We love our safe, small town community’s proximity to everything and connection to nature. It’s been a decade since our last plan, and Polk City’s been changing.

The Florida Department of Transportation may adopt this planning product into the environmental review process, pursuant to Title 23 U.S.C. § 168(d)(4), or to the state project development process. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
